SG50 Reflections: Our Hopes and Memories(HOME) is a gift from our students to Singapore on her 50thbirthday. It is the collective effort of students and teachers from369 primary and secondary schools, junior colleges and centralisedinstitute, 20 Special Education schools as well as the SingaporeInternational School (Hong Kong).The stories in SG50 HOME are spread across five decades, andorganised by themes of Memorable Spaces, Faces of Singapore,Culture & Celebrations, Progress & Achievements, andDefining Moments. It contains videos, drawings, interviews, andother forms of expression by students as they learn aboutsignificant people, places and milestones in the last 50 years ofthe Singapore Story. SG50 HOME is also about our future as a nation. As studentsshare their hopes and aspirations, they commit to building a betterfuture for Singapore in the next 50 years.
HeART of the Singapore River 1.0.1
The HeART of the Singapore River is an appco-developed by the Ministry of Education and National GallerySingapore for Primary 4 students. Through the app students willlearn about 5 artworks by Singapore local artists, namely, CheongSoo Pieng, Georgette Chen, Koeh Sia Yong, Lim Cheng Hoe and Teo EngSeng.In the “Discover” section, students will learn about theartworks through animations, audio clips and quizzes. In the“Create” section, students respond to artworks through games andthrough sketching out ideas, such as their vision of Singapore’sfuture using an in-app digital drawing tool. The tool also providesstudents with ideas of futuristic buildings and vehicles tostimulate their imagination and trigger their creativity.Students can also learn more about the 5 artists through the“Learn More” section.
